On December 20th, Jiangsu Dongtai 200000 kW offshore wind power project, which has the largest single capacity, farthest offshore distance, highest voltage level, and most complex sea conditions in China, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation.
The construction unit of Jiangsu Dongtai 200000 kW offshore wind power project is Jiangsu Guangheng New Energy Co., Ltd., a directly affiliated unit of Shandong Luneng Group Co., Ltd. The offshore wind power project is located in Dongsha Island, Dongtai City, Jiangsu Province, where the sea conditions are very complex, including land, shallow water, shoal, mudflat, deep water, high beach, etc. The offshore distance of the center of the site is 36 kilometers, which is the longest offshore wind power project put into production at present. The sea area is 29.8 square kilometers, with a total of 50 4-megawatt wind turbines, a 220 kV offshore booster station, and an onshore centralized control center.
The offshore wind power project connects 50 wind turbines to the offshore booster station through a 35 kV submarine cable, and then sends the electricity from the offshore booster station to the onshore centralized control center through a 220 kV submarine cable, thus forming a complete power generation and transmission circuit. As one of the "Four Best" offshore wind power projects in China, this offshore wind power project has successfully connected to the grid for power generation, accumulating valuable experience for the development and construction of offshore wind power projects in China.
